The Brockton Raiders are a non profit youth Football and Cheer organization. Consisting of 6 football teams, ranging from 1st grade-8th grade and cheer ranging from ages 5 years old - 14 years old . We are apart of the Baystate Youth Football and Cheer conference, within American Youth Football (AYF) and American Youth Cheer (AYC).

Many people ask where the Brockton Raiders got their name from. Here's a little bit of background on the Brockton Raiders Youth Football and Cheer organization...

Pro Football Hall Of Famer, Allen Davis, was born right here in Brockton, MA. Known for his motto "Just win, baby", the Raiders became one of the NFL's most successful and popular teams under Davis' management. The franchise enjoyed their greatest successes during the 1970s and 1980s where they were perennial playoff contenders and won three Super Bowl titles.

Davis was active in civil rights, refusing to allow the Raiders to play in any city where black and white players had to stay in separate hotels. He was the first NFL owner to hire an African American head coach (Art Shell) and a female chief executive (Amy Trask), as well as the second NFL owner to hire a Latino head coach (Tom Flores). He remains the only executive in NFL history to be an assistant coach, head coach, general manager, commissioner, and owner.

It was only right that we bring a little of that history back to Brockton.

When the Brockton Raiders first started off, we started in The Big Six league that consisted of 6 teams that went head to head against other teams in the city of Brockton. Our former President Percy and Vice President Dave had a bigger vision for the Brockton Raiders. They took the leap and joined AYF/AYC in the Baystate Football and Cheer conference. The Brockton Raiders have been successfully building and growing the organization ever since.
